Black Lotus VIP Lounge Schedule
- 12:00 PM - Lounge Opens
- Check into the lounge! Pick up all of your ticketed merchandise and sealed event product for the weekend.
- Black Lotus MagicCon: Chicago Sealed Event Product Pick-up and Play Beings
- Black Lotus Progressive Sealed Event: Starting on Thursday, pick up 4 packs of Aether Drift play boosters and build a 40-card deck. Play at least 2 games each day, Friday through Sunday to add an additional Aether Drift play booster to your pool the following day. Playing 6 games will earn you additional boosters on Sunday. The final chance to claim any earned booster prizing is Sunday at 5:00pm. Look out for Wizards staff and special guests, playing and defeating them in the lounge will earn you additional prizes!
- 3:00 PM– 4:00 PM: Black Lotus Make the Unknown Planechase card
- Principal Game Designer Gavin Verhey joins Melissa De Tora and the casual play design team in bringing you this exclusive experience exclusively to Black Lotus badge holders
- 4:30 PM – 6:00 PM, Room 450a: Welcome Reception with Wizards of the Coast Guests
- Join members of the Wizards of the Coast during this casual mixer. Have a chat, grab a signature or discuss game strategy and design. This is your time to socialize with the makers of the world’s best card game!

- 6:00 – 8:00 PM: Early Preview Shopping Hour

- 8:30 AM – 11:00 AM, room 450a: Morning Snacks & Beverage Service

- *Ghirapur Grand Prix draft: Take your places and start your engines! It’s time to race through the multi-verse in a draft featuring Aether Drift, Kaladesh and Amonkhet. Drafts will fire every time we reach 8 players starting at 2:00P PM on Friday. The last draft will fire at 5:30 PM Regardless of the number of participants. There are no pairings or prizes, but don’t miss your chance to play against Wizards for a chance at extra boosters.

- *Planechase Unknown: Inspired by Gavin Verhey’s Unknown sealed event, the Casual Play Design team continues to bring you wacky and fun MagicCon themed Planechase cards. VIPs will each take home 5 assorted playtest planes and a MagicCon themed planar die in addition to getting to play Planechase Commander with the aforementioned groups.
